Former Wellington Duke forward Sean Rudy had a powerplay assist on the game-opening goal as his Cornwall Nationals defeated the Watertown Wolves by a score of 4 to 2 in Federal Hockey League (FHL) action. He previously attended Bemidji State University before transferring to Hobart College for a combined fours years of NCAA hockey.
The native of Long Sault, Ontario played two seasons (2009-11) with the Dukes picking up 127 points in 98 games. He scored the game-winning goal in the 4th overtime period at the 2011 Dudley Hewitt Cup semi-finals as the team went on to win their second championship in franchise history the next day.
