The Wellington Dukes defeated the Kingston Voyageurs tonight by a score of 4 to 1 at the OJHL Winter Showcase held in Trenton, Ontario.  The win clinched a playoff spot for the Dukes for the 28th consecutive year.  Starting with the 1989-90 season, the Dukes have made the playoffs every year since taking over from the Belleville Bobcats.


Other Duke milestones reached tonight:


 Justin Bean played in his 100th regular season game as a Wellington Duke;

 Connor Ryckman picked up his 20th win of the season and was named Player of the Game facing 41 shots;

 Dawson Eliis, an affiliate player called-up, scored his 1st Junior A goal;

 Marty Abrams clinched his 16th season of Dukes post-season play as their Head Coach and 11th consecutive season as the General Manager.


The Dukes are back in action Friday night when they host the Stouffville Spirit with a 7:30 PM puck drop.
