The Wellington Dukes 4 to 3 victory Sunday afternoon over the North York Rangers gives them 54 points and assures the team of extending their OJHL record of a winning regular season to 20 consecutive years.

In fact, only twice in their 28 year history have they failed to reach the .500 mark, the last time being the 1996-97 season.  Current Head Coach Marty Abrams has been on the bench for 16 of the 20 year record.  The next three longest current streaks of the 22-team OJHL are:

Georgetown Raiders    19 years

Whitby Fury                    8 years

Trenton Golden Hawks   6 years

The Dukes continue their five game road trip on Thursday when they visit the Kingston Voyageurs.  Their next home game is on Sunday, February 12th against the Lindsay Muskies with a 2:00 PM puck drop.
