Wellington Dukes alternate captain Carter Allen has confirmed his commitment to play for NCAA Oswego Lakers of the SUNYAC Conference starting with the 2017-18 season.

The Lambton Shores, Ontario native played for the Stratford Cullitons of the GOJHL before signing with the Dukes two seasons ago.  In his first year with the Dukes he was the only player on the team to play in all 54 regular season games and was the winner of the Rick Meagher Award for the player that is emblematic of what it truly means to be a Duke.  In the past season he was named alternate captain and won the team Defensive Player-of-the-Month Award for January.  The stay-at-home defenseman finished his Duke career playing in 128 regular season/playoff games accumulating 35 points.
Dukes GM/Head Coach Marty Abrams said "Carter was a tremendous player for us the last two seasons and was the ultimate teammate.  Our entire organization wish Carter all the best moving forward playing for Coach Gosek at Oswego."
