The Wellington Dukes of the Ontario Junior Hockey League is pleased to announce Brayden Stortz has committed to the University of Brock Badgers starting with the 2017-18 CIS season.

The Welland, Ontario native joined the Dukes last summer from the Kirkland Lake Gold Miners of the NOJHL.  He ended up leading the OJHL in goals (37) and game-winning goals (10) and was second in points (90) and third in assists (53).  He was named OJHL North/East Conference Player of the Month for both September and January.  He was also named to the OJHL 1st All-Star Team as well as being named OJHL MVP runner-up.  Last month he was named to the First Team All-Fan Favourite.

Dukes GM/Head Coach Marty Abrams stated " Brayden came to our program and made an immediate impact. He is a tireless worker who competes very hard every day. I believe he will continue to be an impact player for Coach Nystrom and the Brock Badgers. There is no doubt that our fans and supporters will remember Brayden's year in Wellington for a long time"
