The Wellington Dukes of the Ontario Junior Hockey League (OJHL) is pleased to announce the signing of two players for the 2017-18 season.

Teddy McGeen is in his final year of junior hockey after splitting last season with the Junior A Powell River Kings of the BCHL and the Junior B Chatham Maroons of the GOJHL where he finished up with a better than a point-a-game with 33 points in just 26 games.  The Windsor, Ontario native is a product of his hometown Junior Spitfires AAA organization.
Justin Vertesi is an 18-year old goaltender that played for the Ancaster Avalanche of the GOJHL last year.  His 2.57 GAA placed him in the top-10 in the league while his 3 shutouts placed him 4th among all goaltenders.  The Hamilton, Ontario native played previously for the Hamilton Huskies AAA program.
Dukes General Manager/Associate Coach Ryan Woodward  had this to say about the latest signings:
"We expect Teddy to be an integral part of our team this year. He is highly skilled, has tremendous speed and the ability to make plays. He will add veteran leadership to our dressing room and we are thrilled to add him to our line-up.
Justin is a big goalie who moves very well and is extremely competitive. He has a great disposition in net and gives the players in front of him confidence knowing if they make a mistake he can bail them out."
