FLEMING FINISHES SECOND IN SCORING RACE IN FRANCE

Former Wellington Duke Scott Fleming played for the Lyon Hockey Club this year in the French Ligue Magnus and finished second in the scoring race with 26 goals plus 32 assists for 58 points in 43 games.

 

 

The native of Plainfield, Ontario, had a four-year college tour with Dartmouth (ECAC) from 2007-11.  He was named to the NCAA All-Academic Team in 2008 and during 2008-09 led Big Green with 13 goals in addition to ranking third on the team with 25 points and named to the NCAA All-Academic Team for the second consecutive year.  Two years ago he played in the United Kingdom with the Fife Flyers of the EIHL where he had 59 points in 62 games.

 

He played for the Dukes from 2004 to 2007 and led the team in assists with 40 in his final season helping the Dukes reach the Buckland Cup Finals for the third time in 5 years.
