AUGER SETS UP GAME-WINNER IN BRAMPTON PLAYOFFS

Former Wellington Duke Chris Auger assisted on the game-winning goal as his Brampton Beast, an affiliate of the NHL Montreal Canadians, went on to defeat the Reading Royals by a score of 3 to 1 in ECHL playoff action.  The Beast win the best-of-seven playoff series four games to two and advance to the league quarter-finals.   He had 21 goals during the regular season.

 

The Belleville, Ontario native holds the Dukes franchise record for points in a single regular season (2005-06) with 92.  After the season he was drafted by the NHL Chicago Black Hawks and played four years with NCAA Division 1 UMass Lowell River Hawks.
