Former Wellington Duke goaltender Tyson Teichmann was named 3rd Star of the Game facing 23 shots as his UOIT Ridgebacks defeated the Queen's Golden Gaels in double overtime by a score of 3 to 2 in CIS action.
The Belleville, Ontario native played one season as a Duke and was named 2014 Dudley Hewitt Cup MVP. He had a 1.50 GAA along with a .946 save % and a shutout in four games at the tournament. Of the six goals he allowed only two of them came at even strength.
During the OJHL regular season he led the league in save % (.925%) and was fourth in GAA (2.53).
