Former Wellington Duke (2006-07) goaltender Ed Pasquale was named 2nd Star of the Game facing 32 shots as his Grand Rapids Griffins defeated the Milwaukee Admirals by a score of 5 to 1 in the final regular season game of AHL action.  He lowered his GAA to 2.43 and improved his save % to .919 and had four shutouts among his 15 wins.  The same two teams will meet again in the playoffs with game one set for Friday in Grand Rapids.  The Griffins are the top affiliate team of the the NHL Detroit Red Wings.

The Toronto, Ontario native had a 1.92 GAA in his lone season with the Dukes as a 16 year old which was the lowest average in the entire OJHL.  Drafted by the Atlanta Thrashers of the NHL in 2009 he went on to play four seasons in the AHL when the team relocated to Winnipeg as the Jets.  Twice he was called up to the Jets team as an injury replacement but never got into a game.
