Former Wellington Duke goaltender Jordan Ruby was named 2nd Star of the Game facing 41 shots as his Macon Mayhem defeated the Pensacola Ice Flyers by a score of 3 to 2 in SPHL playoff action. Macon wins the best-of-three semi-final series two games to none and will play in the League Finals. During the regular season his .925 save % and 21 wins were both second best in the league. His 2.32 GAA was 3rd in the league. He also had two shutouts.
Last season he played for the Brampton Beast of the ECHL after he completed four years of NCAA hockey with the RIT Tigers where he set the school mark with 1,763 saves and won 23 contests, fourth most in the Division 1 era at RIT.
The Tavistock, Ontario native back-stopped the Dukes to their second Dudley Hewitt Cup Championship in franchise history in 2011 and was named Tournament MVP.
