PETERS NAMED 2nd STAR OF GAME IN FLORIDA PLAYOFF WIN

Former Wellington Duke goaltender Anthony Peters was named 2nd Star of the Game facing 33 shots as his Florida Everblades defeated the Orlando Solar Bears by a score of 5 to 1 in ECHL playoff action.  The Solar Bears lead the best-of-seven series three games to two.   He had 31 wins during the regular season, 3rd highest in the league.  The Everblades are an affiliate of the NHL Carolina Hurricanes.  

 

The Blyth, Ontario native played for the Dukes in the 2006-07 season and finished with a perfect 11 wins 0 loss record helping the team reach the OJHL Playoff Finals.  He then went on to play 4 years in the OHL followed by another 4 years with the St. Mary's University Huskies where he was named to the 2015 AUS First All-Star Team as well as being named CIS Goaltender of the Year.
