GEORGE & DANVILLE WIN FHL CHAMPIONSHIP

Former Wellington Duke Louie George faced 32 shots as his Danville Dashers defeated the Berlin River Drivers by a score of 4 to 1 in the FHL Finals playoff action.  The Dashers win the best-of-five championship series three games to two.  He had finished first in several goaltending statistics during the regular season.   He led the league in GAA (2.18)  save % (,930) and shutouts (3).  His 17 wins were third best in the FHL.

 

The Waterloo, Ontario native played one year for the Dukes as a 17-year old rookie in the 2004-05 season and helped the team reach the OJHL East Division Playoff Finals.  He later played five seasons in the CIS with the Ryerson Rams.
