The Wellington Dukes are winners of three in a row after another powerful offensive performance in the Kawartha Lakes on Saturday night.

The Dukes authored the same story as Friday night by jumping out to a multi-goal lead in the first period on two more tallies from Zander Latreille and one from Sacha Trudel.

After Ethan Walker popped home Lindsay’s first marker early in the second, Trudel restored the three-goal bulge on a shorthanded break for his eighth of the season.

Despite a Walker hat trick in the third and a Nathan Taylor tally, the Dukes put the game away with tallies from Jared McNeil, Ethan Murray and Ben Vreugdenhil to finish off the Muskies.

Latreille and Trudel both registered three points on the night, McNeil, Vreugdenhil and Zach Carrier had two each and single helpers went to Logan Klaiber, Quinn McNamara, Tyler Tsoukalas, Cory Jewitt, Ryan Schaap and Riley Noble.

Newly acquired goaltender Jacob Brown made 34 saves in a strong Dukes debut.

Wellington is now 12-8 on the campaign and will look to dig deep to pull off a perfect weekend on Sunday at 2:30 p.m. versus the Aurora Tigers.
