Team Canada East Names Team Captains

Team Canada East is pleased to announce that they have named their Team Captains for the 2008 World Junior “A” Challenge taking place in Camrose, Alberta from Sunday November 2nd to Sunday November 9th. Jeremy Franklin of Bath, Ontario was selected to Captain the 2008 version of Team Canada East. This is Jeremeyʼs 2nd appearance at the World Junior “A” Challenge. Last year Franklin was part of the 2007 Team Canada East that took home a silver medal from Trail, British Columbia. “Jeremy is a deserving player that has shown commitment and dedication to the program and is well deserving of this honor”. Said Team Canada East Head Coach Mark Grady also Head Coach of the Cumberland Grads of the CJHL. “Anytime you are chosen to captain a team it is an honor… but when you get the opportunity to wear a “C” on a Team Canada jersey it is truly something to cherish”. “On a team full of leaders it is difficult to choose “Cʼs” and “Aʼs” however, we feel these players have shown tremendous leadership and commitment to the pursuit of a gold medal”.
